I am thankful for: colours

As you can see in the post below, I cast on a VERY colourful project this morning. I bought the yarn in December and when I bought it I already had in my hands a few skiens of what I consider "my colours" so I didn't mind that the colours on that skien weren't what I usually get, I just thought they all looked nice together and I couldn't get my eyes off the skien. I had no idea what kind of project I would use it for or what it would look like when it was a) in a ball and b) knitted, but I just loved the colour combination.

This is what it looked like when I bought it
And today I couldn't stop knitting it. I loved it every time a new colour appeared through my fingers. They are so vibrant and fun and cheerful. I like colourful things but I don't always wear them because I don't really know how and I'm afraid they will clash or be too loud, so although I admire them from afar, I'm really just scared of them. Having all those other skiens in my hands in the store I think relaxed me and I went for what I really liked. (I do like the others I bought of course, but they are rather conservative buys) So today I'm thankful for all the new colours that have been going through my fingers, and perhaps for a bit more courage in the future when I pick yarn and clothing.
