Today I had to meet with the person I crashed into when I had the car accident to fill out some forms, get the key and card to get into various classrooms at school (something everyone did in December or early January), and find someone to explain why my classroom's lights turned themselves off after 1.4 seconds.
All in all I had one of those days that is very busy, but that is difficult because everything I had to do depended on other people, and their mood: the accident report went very well and the woman was very understanding, the key and card should have been done weeks ago, and technically I shouldn't really have them, or even have as much access as I was given, and the lights in my classroom could have just stayed the way they were.
I know it's not hard to be nice and helpful, but I've come to know that a lot of people would rather not bother, so I'm very grateful when others make an effort to make my day a bit easier.
