Today I finished correcting (grading and writing comments, lots of comments) the second written assignment of the week for my Spanish class. They also had an oral presentation this week for which I had to write comments and give grades. So even though I have been battling a cold and a full schedule as a substitute, I've also manage to do good work for my own students.
And it's not necessarily because I wanted to, but all this grading just had to be done now, so I just did it. Now that it's over I feel relieved but also a bit proud that I've been able to manage everything and deliver good work. I'm often quite "soft on myself", especially if I'm sick, but this time I found that good time management made a greater contribution to getting things done than excessive effort. No, I probably won't learn from this, I'm just enjoying it right now.
And I've finished a sock! Pictures soon. (or many when they are both knitted...)
